Green Juice

I juice every day and I normally use mostly green vegetables. I change it up from time to time and add different vegetables like chard, beets, parsnips, etc. But this is my go-to juice most days. Remember to use organic produce.

2 handfuls of spinach

4 kale leaves (switch up the type of kale you use)

2 celery stalks

½ cucumber

1 whole lemon

1 carrot or apple (only if you need a little sweet)

 

Banana-Spinach Smoothie

I love smoothies because they are a great way to start your morning off right and can also be a satisfying afternoon snack. I also use them as post-workout meals and add protein powder. This is a quick, easy recipe and it tastes yummy! Remember to use organic ingredients and read labels to make sure there are no added preservatives.

1-½ cups water or coconut water or milk or almond milk

1–2 handfuls of spinach (I buy organic frozen chopped spinach. It blends well and gives you the frozen feel so you don’t have to add ice)

1 banana

2 tablespoons of chia seeds for an added bonus
